Job Context

• Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in Barisal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet. CB is implementing 87 on-going projects covering 209 upazila focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare and Community Development, ii) Quality Education, iii) Health Care and Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Development and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
• Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is looking for suitable candidates (men and women) for immediate appointment as well as to prepare panel list for Community-based Protection Project & Emergency Response Program for Refugees from Northern Rakhine State of Myanmar in Bangladesh
• The selected candidates will be appointed on temporary basis initially for six months which may be extended for future period. Age and academic qualification may be relaxed for the highly experienced candidates. Candidates from Ukhia/Teknaf/ Cox’s Bazar will be given preference.

Job Responsibilities

• Support and administer all travel related tasks as advised by Team Leader (Operations).
• Responsible for proper and timely maintenance of vehicle and related vehicle documentation.
• Prepare payment to the vendors with proper approval from Head of Program after verification by the Team Leader (Operations)through following Caritas Procurement Policy.
• Support/ Assistother project staff by maintaining technical infrastructure/procurement by the Program Director.
• Creating and updating the national and international staff contact lists (tel, mobile, e-mail and address lists) as required for EA.
• Assist in activities such as meetings, conferences and workshops.
• Manage the ticket booking, arrival support if needed Airport Visa on Arrival service, pickups by the vehicle, and track all communications as advised by Program Director/ other senior staffs of Project.
• Manage hotel reservations for visitors or new staff as needed. Provide the visitors’ brief as updated and Bangladesh Constant Companion Card to all visitors upon their arrival.
• Responsible for processing procurement related works of the project.
• Prepare tender notice and arrangement for sending those to vendors for collecting quotations.
• Prepare work orders and visitor’s bills etc.
• Monthly checking of stationery register, courier and franking machine bills.
• Any other task assigned by Team Leader (Operations).

• Age at most 45 years
• 2 years experience in similar position Proficiency in English
